NOT ONLY ARE STUDENTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY CONCERNED ABOUT THE DACA ROLLBACKS, BUT LOCALLY, TEXAS HAS ENACTED SENATE BILL 4 THAT AIMS TO OUTLAW SANCTUARY CITIES AND CAMPUSES. GOVERNOR GREG ABBOTT SAID ANY PUBLIC UNIVERSITY THAT TAKES ON SANCTUARY STATUS WOULD BE SUBJECT TO FUNDING CUTS. WITH THIS, POLICE WILL NOW BE ABLE TO QUESTION A PERSON’S IMMIGRATION STATUS AND TAKE THEM INTO CUSTODY.
